By placing an order on our Website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
We exclusively sell premium French silk scarves, handcrafted with meticulous attention to quality and design. All product descriptions, photographs, and specifications are provided for informational purposes and are as accurate as possible. However, slight variations in color or texture may occur due to screen settings or the artisanal nature of our products.
All prices are displayed in the currency selected at checkout and include all applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. We operate under VAT exemption (franchise de TVA) in accordance with French tax regulations.
Prices are subject to change without prior notice, but any order confirmed will be honored at the price indicated at the time of purchase.
4.1 Order Confirmation
Once your order is placed and payment is processed, you will receive an order confirmation email. This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order but acknowledges receipt of your payment.
4.2 Payment Methods
We accept secure payment methods as displayed during checkout, processed through Shopify Payments and other integrated payment gateways.
4.3 Order Acceptance
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of product unavailability, pricing errors, fraud suspicion, or failure to meet our terms.
5.1 Production Time
As each silk scarf is made to order with artisanal craftsmanship, please allow 2 to 4 weeks for production and shipping.
5.2 Delivery
We ship internationally via DHL with Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) terms. This means:
No additional customs fees, duties, or taxes will be charged to you upon delivery
All import charges are included in your purchase price
You are responsible only for the total amount shown at checkout
5.3 Delivery Timeframes
Estimated delivery times (from order confirmation):
United States: 2-4 weeks
European Union: 2-4 weeks
United Kingdom: 2-4 weeks
Canada: 2-4 weeks
Australia: 2-4 weeks
Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to customs processing, remote locations, or unforeseen circumstances.
5.4 Risk of Loss
Risk of loss and title for products pass to you upon delivery to the shipping carrier.
6.1 Return Period
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return your product if you are not completely satisfied.
For EU customers: In accordance with European consumer protection laws, you have a minimum 14-day withdrawal period. We extend this to 30 days for your convenience.
6.2 Return Conditions
To be eligible for a return, the product must be:
Unworn, unwashed, and in its original condition
In its original packaging with all tags attached
Free from perfume, makeup, or any signs of use
6.3 Return Shipping Costs
The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs unless the product received is defective or incorrect.
6.4 Return Process
To initiate a return:

Provide your order number and reason for return
Wait for return authorization and instructions
Ship the product back using a tracked shipping method
6.5 Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your returned product, we will process your refund within 14 business days to your original payment method. Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
6.6 No Restocking Fees
We do not charge any restocking fees for eligible returns.
7.1 Legal Guarantee of Conformity (EU customers)
In accordance with EU Directive 2019/771, consumers in the European Union benefit from a 2-year legal guarantee of conformity from the date of delivery. If a defect appears within this period and is due to a manufacturing fault, we will repair, replace, or refund the product at our discretion.
7.2 Quality Guarantee (All customers)
We guarantee the quality and craftsmanship of our silk scarves for 2 years from the date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing defects but does not cover:
Normal wear and tear
Damage caused by improper care or use
Alterations made by anyone other than Le Carré Interdit
7.3 Claim Process
To make a warranty claim, contact us with photos of the defect and your order number. We will assess the claim and provide a resolution within 14 business days.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Le Carré Interdit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or inability to use our Website.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product in question.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:
Death or personal injury caused by negligence
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
Any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law
9.1 Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by French law.
9.2 Dispute Resolution
For EU consumers: In accordance with EU regulations, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence. Any disputes may be submitted to the competent courts of your place of residence or to the French courts.
For non-EU customers: Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France, unless mandatory local consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

All content on this Website, including designs, logos, photographs, and text, is the exclusive property of Le Carré Interdit and is protected by French and international intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use or reproduction is strictly prohibited.
We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, strikes, pandemics, or governmental restrictions.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
